Has the state of the world and the algorithm got you down? Would you like to reconnect with others in person, to music, while moving your body? Come learn to dance Argentine tango with BALIF! We will have local queer tango extraordinaire Miranda Lindelöw teaching an Argentine tango class for BALIF members. Everyone is welcome to lead or follow, and dancing both roles is encouraged.
Miranda (IG: @miranda_lindelow_tango) has over twenty years of experience dancing and teaching tango. Since 2017, Miranda has built community for LGBTQ people in the Bay Area to dance tango, teaching in queer spaces as well as bringing the spirit of queer tango to straight venues. Miranda dances and teaches tango with a focus on close embrace, cadence and genuine steps for the social dance floor, which she learned from her legendary mentor Ana Schapira of Buenos Aires.
